Mark your calendars! Teacher Appreciation week is May 6-10
I will be sending out an updated newsletter later this week with some fun ideas on how you can help your child(ren) show appreciation and support of our amazing teachers.
May 10th Last Backpack Day
Friday, May 10th will be the last day that students are allowed to be bring backpacks to school. Teachers will have students clean out desks so that all items can be taken home on the 10th. Students will be allowed to utilize a folder to carry any necessary papers they may need for the last week of school.
No parking in front loop
The office has received several complaints about some parents parking in the loop in order to enter the office to sign in/out their students. Please be aware that the front loop is a drop off/pick-up drive through location. If you are needing to sign-in/sign-out your student, you will need to park in the parking lot just east of the office. Also, unless you have a handicap decal, please do not park in a handicap spot.
Front loop procedures
As temperatures start to heat up, so do tempers. In order to ensure a smooth running drop-off and pick-up lane, please ensure that you are following all front loop signs. Our number one priority is the safety of our students, staff and families. Below is a reminder of the signs that are posted:
- Pull up as close as you can to the orange line when dropping off/picking-up your child(ren)
- No parking in front loop
- No left hand turns out of front loop (before or after school)
Three weeks left in the 23-24 school year
We need your help! There are three weeks left in the school year and our entire staff is committed to working hard every single day that is left in the school year. With that, I am asking that you commit to having your child in school, all day, every day for the next three weeks. Having students signed out early is a huge distraction for not only the child being signed out, but also for the entire class. While we realize that some early sign outs are unavoidable, please do all that you can to avoid signing your child out early for the next three weeks.
